DVU37 - Output 439.4625 MHz - Input 430.4625 MHz.

GB7JB is funded solely by donations from its' users and supporters. There is no club or group to join and no annual membership fee. We rely totally on your good will.

The system is located in South Wiltshire, in IO81vc, co-sited with GB3JB, and provides coverage across South Wiltshire, South Somerset and North Dorset.

GB7JB is a 70 cm Digital voice repeater, based on DMR TDMA Mototrbo technology.
It provides TWO simultaneous channels. One is for local chatting, whilst the other is connected to the Regional Cluster / Network.

GB7JB NoV Request Passed To Ofcom.

Hi All,

The application for the Digital Voice Repeater, GB7JB, has been vetted by ETCC, and forwarded on the Ofcom.

The primary user of 70 cm's (MOD) will also have to agree to the application, so there is still quite a way to go, but hopefully it will not drag on like many applications for 70 cm Repeaters, do.

Below is a copy of the request for the NoV.

As can be seen, the proposed frequencies are:

Repeater Input:     430.4625 Mhz
Repeater Output:   439.4625 Mhz

The repeater will be transmitting with what is effectively 24 watts ERP.

As indicated previously, GB7JB, is not a D-Star Repeater.

It will be using the Internationally agreed commercial DMR standard.  This standard is supported by the following manufacturers, businesses and organisations:

Aeroflex  -  AF2S  -  Anritsu  -  Aselsan  -  Avtec Inc.  -  Bricom  -  Catalyst  -  CIM Concepts  -  CML Microcircuits  -  Eastern Communications Co. Ltd (Eastcom)  -  Elcomplus  -  EMC S.P.A.  -  ESP Wireless  -  Etherstack  -  Fisher Wireless Services, Inc,  -  Fjord-E-Design  -  Fujian Beifeng Telecom Technology Co. Ltd.  -  Fylde Micro Ltd  -  Harris  -  HQT Science & Technology  -  Hytera  -  Icom Inc.  -  JVC Kenwood Corporation  -  Kirisun  -  Kydera  -  Larimart  -  Motorola  -  Neocom Software  -  Omnitronics  -  Omsk Manufacturing Association  -  Prescom  -  PuXing  -  Radio Activity S.R.L.  -  Radiodata  -  Rayfield Communications  -  Repeater Network LLC.  -  Saia Communications, Inc.  -  Satdata  -  Selex Es.  -  Sepura  -  Shanghai 3G  -  Simoco  -  SIP Partners  -  Tait Communications  -  Telent Gmbh  -  Telex Radio Dispatch  -  Twisted Pair  -  Vertex Standard  -  Wintec  -  Wuhan New Technology Communication Ltd.  -  Xworks  -  Zetron  -  ZTE Trunking Technology Corporation.

Hopefully you will have noticed a few very recognisable names, to us Amateurs ... i.e.  Icom, Kenwood, and Vertex Standard.  Simoco and Tait are also pretty well known by those of us who frequent 70 Mhz and up.

The South Dorset Repeater Group, have also made an application to establish a 70cm Digital Voice DMR repeater, GB7SD.

This has also been forwarded to Ofcom, today, with a request to issue an NoV.

It is highly likely that these two project will progress at about the same speed through the system, and that the individuals involved with each project will be working very closely with each other.

Cheers & 73's

Dave, G3ZXX.
